As HRR radar system, stepped frequency signal (SFS) with large bandwidth has great potential applications in accurate control and guide weapons, which has advantages of high range measuring accuracy, anti-clutter-ability, and identification ability of true and false targets. A-SD mono pulse radar as one method of mono pulse radar also has been widely applied because of high angle measuring accuracy. In this dissertation, we will focus on abstracting and processing the angle error signal of stepped frequency and mono pulse radar.Firstly, basic theory of the stepped frequency radar system is summarized and feature of the stepped frequency radar are analyzed in detail. In the same time, theory of high range resolution profile based on IFFT has been proposed. Besides, according to the definition of radar waveform's ambiguity, the characteristics of stepped frequency radar waveform are analyzed in details to build a foundation for theoretical and experimental studies.Secondly, for coupling of range and Doppler frequency in stepped frequency signal, it is quite necessary to complement target motion. According to the relative phase relationship in different pulse period, we research the principle of motion complement and introduce kinds of motion complement method. Then we verify those methods by simulation. After that, by combining advantages of different velocity estimation, we co-estimate velocity and greatly induce the effect of motion on high range resolution profile.Later, we introduce A-SD mono pulse radar, base on HRR profile angle measurement and verify its efficiency by simulation. At the same time, we analyze amplitude and phase inconsistent of three channels. In high resolution radar, distribution of cluster follows Weibull and we get Weibull orthogonal data by using coherent model proposed by Farina.Finally, we replace measured values with ideal motion model added noise and useαβγfilter, standard to predict and filter. Then, we compare tracking results of these filters through simulation. And we also useαβγfilter tracking azimuth and elevation angle, show the tracking procedure and analyze tracking error.
