The Research Of The Logistics Information Exchange System Based On EbXML

With fast growth of the internet technology,internal/external business communications will become more and more important . Great efficiency and high reliability of business information exchange could reduce operation costs and improve business efficiency and competitive capability . People have already realized that various business data formats and multiple standards are the key bottle-neck blocking of the development of e-Business. Establishing common information exchange platform to provide communication between heterogeneous e-Business applications and information sharing between enterprises has become the universal understanding of the field.Combining the project "The 3PL ( the third-party logistics ) intelligence cooperation-platform " (2003C11033), a major research project of Zhejiang province, the paper mainly studies the building of the 3PL information system .There are six chapters of the paper. Firstly,it introduces the general knowledge and applications of EDI, e-Business and 3PL. It analyses the advantage and shortcoming of the EDI as the data exchange tool; describes the current development of the EDI under the internet. It also states the current domestic and global development stage of the third-party logistics and logistics information system. In the second chapter, it introduces the XML standard and related-technology, analyses and describes the ebXML system architecture .The analysis indicates that emXML solution is the best choice to realize the equal e-Business bwtween enterprises . In the third chapter, the author makes further research of the key techniques of the ebXML.The forth chapter analyses the business process and information system of the third-party logistics enterprise.After examining the information exchange among the enterprises and among the logistics enterprises, ebXML has been selected to construct the external information exchange system. In the chapter, it provides the detail design of the external information exchange system.The fifth chapter studies the application of FRLMS based on ebXML. After examining requirement details, business processes of FR company, we suggest to build both internal and external information systems to resolve the problem now and satisfy the development of future needs.
