Making full use of MMW radar which has a good resolution in the long distance and MMW radiometer which has a strong antijamming and hidden ability in the near area, MMW combined sensor system can improve the performance of detector by combining MMW radiometer with radar. Therefore, it is a kind of ideal detection system.The echo received by MMW combined sensor system has a bad stability not only because of the massive disturbances and the noise, but also because of the encounter of the detector and the target which can not be forecasted fully in the complex battlefield. Therefore, it is very important for the research on signal processing system of MMW combined sensor to improve the performance of MMW detector.This paper introduces main parameters in the 3mm MMW combined sensor system, analyses the echo of MMW active/passive and focuses on the research on design and development of the signal processing system, including active ranging algorithm, the design of the FIR Filter on the passive echo and target recognition algorithm We choo(?) SoC(System on Chip) AT94K to design the whole system because of the high requirement for miniaturization and dependability of the target identification system.According to the characteristic of active/passive waveform and the sampling frequency of system, this paper explores a simple but very fast active/passive signal identification algorithm and presents the methods of feature extraction and target recognition, accomplishes the experiments of passive target recognition in the end.
