Pharmacy Information Management System Based On Com + Three-tier Structure

With the process of the Shandong Provincial Hospital information, the hospital information management system is unceasingly perfect. As the hinge of the whole hospital, like the heart of people, the drugstore is in charge of dealing with the leechdom data from different outpatients and the patients staying in the hospital, and it also takes on thef collocation and the distribution of the leechdom.The leechdom income occupied 50% of the hospital's gross income according to the reasons above. So the perfect management of the drugstore is the base of the hospital information management system.Considering the imminent requirement of the drugstore, we developed the drugstore management information system (DMIS) ,which aims to manage the drugstore efficiently and reasonably.Our DMIS is the classic MIS, and it is of three-layer architecture(client, application server, database server).The client layer is the operating port between the application and the client. The businesslogic layer encapsulates the business logic and the rules, and supplies some ports to interact with the other two layers.There are many popular techniques and criterions to realize the logical layer,such as the COM/DCOM/COM+/NET component from Microsoft, and the EJB from SUN. And this system picks the COM+ component. The COM+ component is an object model which has executed codes and can be dynamicly transfered to the memory. A very important character of the COM+ is that the ports of the COM+ component is of no associations with the develop languages . So it is easy to realize the COM+ objects and use them in many kinds of develop languages. In addition, we can increase the number of the COM+ busniss logic servers easily to enhance the intercurrent processing capability ,the security and expansibility of the system, especially the data is huge. Data layer provides the data interfaces of the business logic and the data management in the database. The system picks Orcale 9i as it's database.The advantage of the three-layer architechture is that it can divided the application into several absolute layers, so when a layer is changed, it does not influence the other layers. This advantage makes the maintainance of the system easier. Moreover the structure of the layers is so legible that it is easy to develop and deploy.
