Monitoring System, Based On Visio Network Run

In network management, network maintenance is the important responsibility of network administrators. Although there are many network management systems in the market, they do not have good applicability. China needs network management systems that are suitable to China's conditions. Network failure management and performance management plays important role in network management. Especially in the complicated and important network environment, they have got most concern of network administrators. This paper proposes a network operation monitoring system based on Visio. It can show the operation of network and give alarm on network failure in time. With this system, network administrators can not only monitor the operation of network, find and deal with network failure, but also obtain the information on assets of network equipment and carry out asset management.This paper summarizes the status quo and development of network management technology, proposes the general design framework of the applicable and easy-to-use system, and establishes the design and development thoughts with the means of secondary development and network management. This paper introduces the design and realization methods of every functional modules of the system in detail, and carries out a thorough exploration of the key issues in the development and design such as how to build network top map, how to obtain network information and how to update network top dynamically. At the end of this paper, the realization result of the system is given, and the whole system is summarized.The powerful drawing function and supporting ability of secondary development is used in the system development. Firstly, the network top map is drawn and Visio files is created, then the control over Visio documents is carried out through programming, and the visualized network top, network failure monitoring and alarming, network performance monitoring and network asset management functions are realized through integrating other programming components including SNMP, database, message and mail.
