West Variable Factory Network Video Surveillance System Design, Streaming Media Transmission Technology And Applications

With the rapid development of digital technique, multimedia communication and IP bandwidth network, revolutionary progress has been made in information field. Recently, real-time streaming media data's transmission technology has become hot spot in network field. Depending on this technology, remote video supervisory control system gains more and more widespread applications for all kinds of departments. But many supervisory control system relevant to concrete hardware there is little supervisory control system being made with software entirely. So it is necessary to develop a kind of commonality supervisory system. It is available to use general camera head to gathering image. The system software prototype fulfills remote supervisory system of Xi'an transform works with pure software.This paper focused on several problems in streaming media's transmission including how the quality of service was influenced by dynamically allocated bandwidth and how to implement it based on RTP/RTCP. In this paper the main work as follows:1. Researched multimedia technique, stream media's transmission over IP network, application of RTP/RTCP, and compression of audio/video data.2. Selected vc++6.0 and DirectShow tech as developing platform to make gathering, encoding, decoding, playing program.3. Exploited remote supervisory system of Xi'an transform works and establish sender and receiver filter and system is composed of both sender and receiver software.4. Thorough comparison of different media file format and means of data processing, DivX and MPEG-Layer-3 were selected as the best choice of video and audio CODEC.5. The related network protocols selecting RTP/RTCP and using Winsock tech in the paper. Meanwhile, some implementation problems were discussed and treated.Based on the firm network supervisory system prototype is made to fulfill realtime audio/video transmission and gain a good result and recurrence of Xi'an transform works leader.With the quality of service and reusability as the design goals, the prototype can be applied not only in remote supervisory system but also in multimedia distance education system, network video conference and so on and meet the requirements of some distance supervisory systems.
