The electrical energy with high-frequency and high power has been applied in many fields, such as high-frequency induction heating equipment, dielectric heating, plasma source, high power transmitter, ect.. High-frequency and high power amplifier is necessary in converting the dc power to ac power. Power amplifier is an important equipment in the transfer device, which has had a great development in the way of high frequency, low power loss, high power capability, high efficiency. In this subject vacuum tube is used as the switching component in the Class E power amplifier to get higher output power with higher frequency.In this paper, we made a research on structure form, operating principle and design calculating method of class E power amplifier.In order to improve the efficiency of class E power amplifier, this paper circuit structure and operating principle were analyzed. We deduced the calculating formula on output power, efficiency, voltage and circuit. Besides, the calculation for elements was used in class E power amplifier.To verify the feasibility of high-frequency class E power amplifier, according to existing conditions, circuit about class E power amplifier with vacuum tube has been simulated with PROTEL99se. In this simulating process, parameters in the load network have been optimized. The simulated circuit has reached optimum operation. The efficiency in simulation achieved 95%. We discussed and analyzed the phenomenon in the simulating process.
