At present, vehicle controlling technology has become one of the most active research fields in Embedded System. To complement our military manufacturing from the traditional "Machinery industry" to a integrated, informational and network "digital industry", a vehicle controlling system is designed and implemented through embedded mode.Firstly the dissertation introduces how the vehicle system came into being, the development of present situation and the real- life significance of R&D. Then, it gives a brief introduction about the theory of the Embedded System and the correlating technology of the development of the Embedded System. According to the in- depth analysis and study on the theory of the Embedded technology and the theory and technology of vehicle system, the dissertation presents a kind of design of software/hardware system based on the Embedded technology, with the whole structure design of the software system. Based on the thorough consideration of such factors as performance, development expense and R&D cycle, the system is appropriately divided into several modules and the structure and function of every module is detailed described.The system supports functions such as collecting, processing and playing real-time video images, generating, sending and receiving data in special format, receiving and processing GPS data, roaming the map and system parameters configuration. Using computer collecting and processing video information in the military, scientific, industrial, agricultural and medical, and many other areas has broad application prospects. For the functions of the system, it's easier to be upgraded and extended to a general vehicle controlling system. For the RTOS, the system's reliability and real-time ability is likely to meet more stringent requirement in business conditions, so it can be used in RMONs the vehicle navigation, combat command and many other areas.
