With the development of Digital TV, the change of broadcast TV from analog to digital has been the general course of development. USA, Japan and Europe have established their respective Digital TV standard. DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) standard of Europe talent showing itself gradually, DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial), DVB-C (Digital Video Broadcasting Cable) and DVB-S (Digital Video Broadcasting Satellite) has been applied widely in all country.DVB-T digital TV receiver can receive DVB-T digital TV program, decode in the PC and play MPEG-2 video and audio signal which complied with High-Definition TV or Standard-Definition TV duly. It can be used for televiewing in the microcomputer and mobile receiving. It has important meaning for accelerating the industrialization of Digital TV and has favorable market foreground.In the thesis, the DVB-T system and receiver theory has been researched. Then the design and realize of DVB-T receiver based on USB2.0 are explored. The main results are as follows:1. The development of digital terrestrial broadcasting.2. The theory of DVB-T receiver system.3. The application of USB technology for the device connected to PC and the USB controller.4. Puts forward a design of DVB-T receiver based on USB2.0, and realizes it. The system is consisted of tuner, COFDM (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) demodulator and USB2.0 controller. By the tuner, the DVB-T signal received has been converted to the IF signal, and then demodulated by the COFDM demodulation chip. In the end, the USB controller sends the TS (transport stream) to the PC where it is decoded by the software.At last, the receiver designed can receive DVB-T signal expediently when connected to computer, and reach the expectant goal.
