Test Management System Design And Implementation

As an important stage in software development, software testing is increasingly highlighted. With the increased scale software development and the increase in complexity, to find the defects for the purpose of testing will become even more difficult. In order to find more defects and generate the product with high-quality, to strengthen the organization and management of testing is particularly important.In this paper, expounded software testing techniques, methods and processes, analyzed and compared of the current relevant test management tool. On this basis and the actual demands of the enterprise, designed and developed a test management system. Its main functions include: test cases management, test plan templates management, the version test records management and the standardized test reports output. This system is based on B/S structure, only need to be installed at the server side, customers can visit the relevant webs through the browsers and manage all testing operations. The three-tier system includes the user interface layer, business logic layer and data access layer, making the architecture more clear, so it's conducive to the maintenance and upgrading later.As a software development project, lacking of effective management of the process will lead to the unpredictability, repeated the mistakes and efforts wasted. Therefore, the development of system used the advanced method---agile method as a guide. Analyzed the extreme programming(XP) theory. In the development process of this project, we were focusing on the use of these practice: game plan, simple design, delivery and evaluation of short-cycle, test-driven development.This thesis expounded in the following areas to achieve specific test management system:1.
