As the development of wireless transmission technology and network protocol, research in the field of Wireless Self-Organizing Network has been a new hotspot. An Ad Hoc network is a kind of Wireless Self-Organizing Network that depends on no infrastructure. It is widely used in such situations as rescue, battlefield and explorations, for it is convenient to build an Ad Hoc network. The Chinese National Hi-Tech Program, Wireless Self-Organizing Network Technologies and Design has proposed a Self-Organizing Algorithm-Kernel Tree Routing Protocol(KTRP),Which has resolved the problem of routing loop in Ad Hoc networks by a tree-shaped topology of Wireless Routers(WR),furthermore, it has reduced the items of routing tables.Otherwise, KTRP has resulted in bypass routing between some WR.This thesis brings forward a method to improve KTRP aiming at the bypass routing problem. To improve KTRP,we basicly kept the tree-shaped topology, adding some physical loop to generate sigle-hop routing between some WR.We analyze the existing MANET routing protocol and propose the KTRP in chapter 3. Then we analyze the problem of KTRP and put forward schemes of improvement in chapter 4. In chapter 5, simulations have been run on improved KTRP, followed with data analysis.
