| Being high power resources of millimeter-wave radiation, gyrotron has broken through and resolved the difficulties which the traditional microwave devices faced. It brings a lot of hope and promotion to application and deploitation of millimeter and submillimeter-wave. Because Gyrotron traveling wave tube amplifier (Gyro-TWT) is an important millimeter wave amplifier with the characteristics of the high output power, the broadband width, and good efficiency, which has vast application vistas in many areas such as millimeter radar, communications, electronic countermeasure, and so forth, it has been pay much respect in the world. The wave-guide with helical corrugation, put by the Russian, G . Denisov and others, is more ideal than others.The academician Liu Shenggang stroke out the direction of electron cyclotron maser research and the team which is guided by professor Li Hongfu has done much research on gyrotron in the late 1970s.This paper studied the dispersion and the field distribution of the wave-guide with helical corrugation operating in 8mm wave band. The main works of this dissertation are listed as following:1.Based on the theory of coupled-wave, using the method of perturbation, the coupled-wave equations are derived and the rule of coupling is gotten.2. According to the traveling coupled equations and the rule of coupling, the dispersion equation is derived and the dispersion characteristic is analyzed numerically. And the field distribution of the wave-guide with helical corrugation is studied. |
