Its narrow beam of high power millimeter wave, high energy density, anti-interference ability, high measurement precision and resolution, with measurement, identification of complex structures, detection, tracking, identification, and multi-volume small cross section targets the ability of space debris, the military has important role, can be widely used in millimeter wave radar, guidance, tactical and strategic communications, electronic countermeasures, remote sensing, the field of radiation measurement. The high power and broad bandwidth capability of gyrotron traveling wave tube (Gyro-TWT) make ifattractive coherent radiation source in the millimeter wave range. Gyro-TWT has received a great deal of attention for its brght future of the fields of high-power radar,communicaton,precision guidance,material processing, particle accelerators and so on. However, high frequency gyrotron traveling wave tube input structure on the gyrotron played a pivotal role, its power gyrotron traveling wave tube, spectrum and gain influence there is got to. Therefore, the structure of the input frequency on the very necessity and research value.The main works of the paper are listed as following:1,According to previous theoretical analysis and calculation of the work in the Ka-band gyrotron traveling wave amplifier input structure of the parameters. Traveling wave under cyclotron wave interaction mode of the electromagnetic field section and the mode purity asked to select the input mode of the structure.2,Structure using computer simulation and optimization of the parameters, and explore the parameters of the input structure of the transmission characteristics of the law. Calculated in accordance with law to select a relatively large transmission coefficient, reflection coefficient of the input structure of the processing experiments.3,The results of the simulation process into a kind, using network analysis input structure of the performance test, and apply it in the gyrotron traveling wave tube thermal test. The results were compared with the results of optimization and then again come to meet high-frequency gyrotron traveling wave tube input structure of the job requirements.
