According to correlative datum reported: at present, the testing cost in military setup is 50% in total cost, even more reaching at 70%; Furthermore ,it takes much more time to program the testing programme than to designing the system. Therefore, in the future, testing,designing and manufacturing in military setup system will be the all and the one, it's the important means that guarantee the actual performance of the modern military setup system.Automatic testing technique derivated from the 70's in the last century, up to now, it can be divided into 3 generations ,there are big different in system structure each other. although the third age of auto testing system is in seedtime, but it brings the revolutionary impulsion in military electronic testing technology. It brings important influence in testing principle,instrument design and the other things. especially in recent years, along with the VXI bus module instrument extending, it established an strong foundation for the third generation of auto testing system's implement.This paper combines the actual project item, introduces the frequency synthesized technique of the VXI synthesized source, and afford some actual experience about VXI instrument's design in reference to frequency synthesized technique and VXI bus system's theory. in design, adopting the decimal fraction divided frequency technique, LSI and SSB, developed the model of VXI synthesized source, which the volume is small and has power function. It has far-reaching significance for our country's economy building.
