With the rapid development of fabrication technology in integrated circuit, system-on-chip has become one of the most important technologies. This technology can improve efficiency, but it also makes serious verification problem. Verification of system-on-chip has become the bottleneck and almost cost 40%-70% time and effort in the integrated circuit.along with the number of the intellectual property reuse-based designs raised every year, How to implement the verification platform to achieve the success of verification quickly and efficiently is one of the hot points in IC design and verification fieldsThis research is a subproject of the project 'The SoC Platform of Home Networking Center', sponsored by the '863 Plan' (No. 2003AA1Z1110). The study is on verification technology and propose of verification framework for SoC Platform of Home Networking Center' .According to the framework, the research implement the functional verification of AHB model, including design the testcase and build test bench.This paper synthetically use testbench design methods such as transaction-based testbench and testbench in PLI (Programmable Language Interface) to build the testbench of AHB.The function coverage and code coverage reach the satisfied level. The dissertation also introduces the scheme of connection between AHB and VGA (Video Graphic Array) controller IP core and the verification process of AHB interface of VGA controller IP core based on the testbench that designed for the bus IP.At last, this paper summarizes the research work in this paper and analyzes the problems among the work unsolved and the study prospect is discussed.
