Traditional jacquard CAD system promotes the automatic level of jacquard industry, but the graphics and image edit system is not strong enough and there is a widening gap between it and high customers' need. After knowing detailedly function of jacquard CAD system, promote Graphics and image edit system based on layers to improve the function of graphics and image edit system, and the interface between computer and people become more friendly.Due to the customers' requirement, this paper puts forward a graphics and image edit system based on multi-layer processing and vector editing. This paper enhances the system from aspects as follows:1) Adopt mathematical morphology method to process image, in which the improved mathematical morphology algorithm for the outline extraction is the most representative.2) Introduce vector editing system to system, design a vector editing system using Object-Oriented Composite Pattern. Improve jacquard image vectorization method, based on character of jacquard image, use Chain-Code-Method to trace the outline of every color block and use beeline and curve method to fit the outline.3) System introduces alternation between vector map layers and bitmap layers , they can splice randomly and change position. It can add and delete layers, it can add custom layer and move layer by mouse randomly which increases the freedom of graphics edit. System projects the alternation between layers. Drawing or graphics change in one layer and put the changed graphics in another layer. That is to be this layer can be mapped to other layers.
