Graphic and Image Pre-Processing System is essential to Jacquard CAD. The traditional Jacquard CAD has been extensively investigated and developed to a high level; however, the graphics and image processing system still can not meet the needs of core-users. The objective of this paper is to establish a more flexible and efficient graphics image Pre-Processing system based on the traditional one to solve this problem.In this system, external raw material of jacquard graphic can be obtained and processed to meet the requirements of the designers. The system can be mainly divided into the following modules:1) Vector graphic modules. The system achieves vector graphics function, by using the design patterns, which guarantees the quality of the image and enhances the integrity of the system.2) Undo/redo module. In order to enhance the flexibility in CAD system and improve the efficiency of the design, a design pattern and the persistence of the data objects are included in this paper to devise a set of module which supports the unlimited undo/redo, thus greatly improving the system of re-operability.3) Mathematical morphology transform module. This paper proposed an improved mathematical morphology based on traditional one in the image processing methods to make better use of external image materials, which simplifies the design data, maintains its basic shape characteristics and achieves the art processing of the Jacquard patterns.4) Color-quantization module. According to the requirement of Jacquard patterns in textile processing, an efficient algorithm of rapid color-quantization is proposed in the paper, which guarantee the results of color-quantization and has been applied in the system.The graphic and image pre-processing system provides users with a very convenient platform and graphics capabilities, allows users to create the patterns, and also improves reusability of patterns to save the resources. The whole system is developed by reprogramming the existed components and programming new ones in Delphi integrated development.
