In recent years, the Jacquard CAD technology develops rapidly on a global scale, which promotes the development of the textile industry. However, existing Jacquard is mainly based on bitmaps, which is easy to distort when amplified and not convenient to be edited. This paper presents a Jacquard CAD program based on vector graphics to solve the above problems.1) This paper introduces octree color quantization method and K-means color quantization methods which are commonly used in jacquard image color quantization. They are compared in running time and the experimental results, and K-means color quantization method is chosen as our color quantization method.2) This paper presents a R2V method to change raster graphics to vector images. For the weave fabric characteristics of large color blocks and small kinds of colors, we divide the indexed bitmaps into several binary bitmaps, and decompose each of them to paths, then we combine them to a path tree which can be translate into graphics used Potrace, and we can convert the Jacquard image to vector graphic at last.3) In this paper, we developed a graphic software to edit vector graphics based on a VCL named TCAD. With this software, you can achieve rotation, twisting, stretching, moving and other operations. Besides these, you can extract some appropriate vector elements from vector graphics and save them as graphic element library for later use.
