The term "middleware" first appear in late 80's, which is an application used for describing the network connection. As the network technology is rapidly growing, in the middle of 90's.The concept of middleware is in its popularity. Essentially, middleware is a distributed software layer, or 'platform' which abstracts over the complexity and heterogeneity of the underlying distributed environment with its multitude of network technologies, machine architectures, operating systems and programming languages. As the middleware is rapidly growing in popularity, many items such as CORBA, DCOM, RMI an RPC are used in many fields. But there are many defects such as synchronous communications only; the lifecycle between client object and server side is tightly coupled; point to point communication only .The message oriented middleware has many advantages in good support in communication specification, reliability and good handle. The message oriented middleware provides Message Passing and Message Queuing models which could expend the communication between the process in distributed environment, and supports multi-communication protocol, language, hardware and software platform. The performance of message oriented middleware is very important item in the data transfers, and it could work on the efficiency and the success of data transfers .The system handling capability is the most part in MOM performance. So we should adopt a good performance testing utility to accomplish the job. Apache JMeter is a 100% pure Java desktop application designed to load test functional behavior and measure performance. You can use it to make a graphical analysis of performance under heavy concurrent load. Because of its Highly Extensible character we could develop the Pluggable Samplers for ourselves. This thesis consists of three parts. The first part introduces the concept and composition of middleware and the specification of JMS. The second part introduces the working principles of GLOMS system. The third part analyses the core codes of JMeter andemphasizes the plug in design and which uses for GLOMS system behavior test under heavy concurrent load.
