Fractal image is self-similar geometric patterns created by repeatedly calculating a fractal Formula. Although these formulas are purely mathematical, the resulting pictures are often very beautiful and complex.Texture synthesis has been widely recognized as an important research topic in computer graphics. Texture synthesis seeks to generate textures of arbitrary size given a small texture sample. Texture Synthesis from Samples is a new texture tiling technique following the Texture Mapping and Procedural Texture Synthesis. It can efficiently avoid noticeable seams between texture patches and minimize the stretch and distortion of the pattern when tiling a texture on surfaces.Pattern design technology based on Fractal Geometry has been widely used in computer graphics. While the traditional Fractal pattern design has disadvantages such as textures are lack of variation, which cannot reflect the characters of real scenery. In this paper, we present a novel pattern design technology of Fractal Geometry based on Image Texture Rendering. We adopt some special fractal set while using the Controllable Texture Synthesis with fractal mask. We also present a new compressible image storage format using XML and implement a pattern design system using fractal and texture synthesis.
