| Content: This thesis discusses how to design and implement the techniques of data collection and data analysis in securities companies. In order to control the running venture and depress running cost, most companies have chosen the way of centralized management under the competitive pressure. The data center system is the base of centralized management. The data collection subsystem can collect and transmit business data in different operational places, different database systems and different application systems accurately and effectively. The source data is reorganized and stored in original data layer of data center according to the business logic models. The data in data center can be refreshed periodically when the source data has been changed. The data integration & transition processes increase the value of business data by converting it into information capital, including data cleaning, transition, aggregation, and preparing for useful metadata for the data marts. The form of data will be changed enormously after being processed by data integration & transition processes which are the hardest and most venture work in system development. Several typical business data marts are being established in data center after having analyzed and concluded all kind of requirements from the business departments earnestly. The processed data can be extracted from data marts directly and imported into other outside application systems, after having been aggregated in different dimensions and granularities by data integration & transition processes and loaded in data marts according to the different logic models and physical data models later. This can improve the efficiency of development work greatly and ensure the data coherence and veracity. The front application systems use some data analytic methods, for example static report, dynamic query, OLAP(Online Analytic Processing) and data mining techniques. They provide the business departments with accurate and compositive data, support management departments to make the just decisions fast and easy. Altogether the data center system is a successful application of data collection and data analysis techniques in securities companies. |
