| The mobility databases (HLR, VLR and SGSN) of WCDMA stores the subscription and location information of subscriber. It plays a very important role in the WCDMA mobility network. Once fault occur in any parts of mobility databases, the operator can not provide service to subscriber, and even all of the information of the subscriber will be lost in the worst case. So, the disaster recovery construction of mobility databases is one of the most important part of construction of WCDMA mobility databases.Firstly we survey and analyze mobility database and location management. Then restoration model of HLR disaster recovery is given and quantitive analysis is made to the two important parameters that affect the performance of restoration model. Based on disaster recovery model and restoration protocol of Mobile database proposed by 3GPP, fault restoration algorithms of HLR VLR and SGSN are proposed. We also propose 1+1 hot backup, N+1 cool backup algorithms of HLR which is the most important part of WCDMA mobility databases. Finally, this paper designs engineering construction scheme of HLR disaster recovery, which includes baseline construction, takeover, synchronization of increment data and operation cutback.Combining the other popular construction schemes, the construction scheme, greatly handles the balance between cost and performance, and is fit for the disaster recovery construction of WCDMA mobility databases in the future. |
