Web Service Technology Research And Applications In The Banking System

Web Service Technology is the focus of today's IT industry, it's development makes the grown-up and perfection of Web service application.The main goal to use Web service is to construct a platform-independent,language-independent technology layer on different kinds of heterogeneous platforms. So that application on different platforms can depend on this technology layer to connect and integrate each other. Web Service is a kind of technology which is completely based on standards.Beacause of this feature, all the development manufacturers can develop platform-independent and interoperable software products and solutions.At the beginning, the thesis analyses the development of Web Service and describes the importance of Web Service. In order to systematically understand this technology,we will introduce its basic concept, character, architecture, standard in turn.After reading this thesis, you will understand that Web Service technology involves technologies like HTTP,XML,SOAP,WSDL,UDDI and so on, in which HTTP,XML and SOAP is its core.Although Web Service provides us with good architecture and framework, if we lack good understanding of such key aspects as performance and security , and also we can't solve these problems in design phase,then the final system is surely low efficiency and short of security. In order to improve performance of Web Service, we analyse from system design, interface definition, interface implementation, documentation structures, interchange mode and security aspects, which deal with cache, database connection pool, resume broken downloads, data compression technologies. In order to impove security of Web Service, we analyse basic platform security, network connection and transmission security,data security, WS-Security, application security and so on, which deal with IPSec, identification and authentication, firewall, SSL, VPN,digital signature, encryption, WS-Security technologies. Since performance and security is contradiction, we sugguest that we should improve performance in the precondition of security.So as to make good understanding of Web Serivice technology, especially its performance and security, the following thesis will describe web service appliction under the Bank System application.
