Web-based Information Systems Software Development And Project Management

With the rapid development of network technology and e-business, the complex distributed WEB application is coming up, and many traditional information management and database systems are transferred to the Internet. The development of WEB Engineering is becoming more and more popular, which will take up a big proportion out of the total software project developments.However, as WEB engineering is a new subject in rapid development, there is currently few consummate software development and project management theories for guide. Which software development technology can be applied to the WEB engineering development? Which project management method could ensure the same efficient development of the WEB engineering as that of the traditional software projects, so as to avoid the Web crisis? In this thesis, the answers will be put forward with the practical WEB engineering instances.With the software development, management procedure and relevant achievements of the WEB engineering project of JPMIS (Zhejiang Traffic Technician College JiaPei Management Information System), this thesis puts forward the specific implement methods based on WEB engineering software development and project management method, which could be applied to the medium and small scale software enterprise WEB engineerings in China.First, this thesis describes the software engineering theories in the development of JPMIS, the project management methods and the corresponding software tools realizing the development of JPMIS. This thesis also gives out the reasons for choosing these theories, methods and tools mentioned as above, combining with the practice of the Web engineering development.Second, this thesis expatiates on WEB engineering management procedure of JPMIS. For example, according to the practical requests, the KPA has been cut down in CMM2 and the project plan has been established by the Project establishment system.At last, this thesis demonstrates the process of JPMIS development in detail, including the establishment of UML modules with the VISIO software and the distribution of the source codes of the operation modules such as registeringmanagement, theory exam and super management. In addition, the WEB project test methods and SQA running procedures are also described.At the present time, JPMIS developed by the above WEB engineering methods and development technologies has been rendered to the user. Therefore, the WEB engineering development technologies, project management methods and some relevant achievements summarized by this thesis are valuable for other similar system developments for reference.
