Palm Os-based Logistics Management Technology

Based upon analyzing the actuality and the problem of material management of the army (MMA), this thesis applied modern logistics theory and advanced information technologies into MMA, then presented the structure of military material management system and ascertained the material management mode of Palm OS handset integrating background database on PC. Then the key technologies applied in the system are lucubrated in the thesis, including data synchronization between Palm OS handset and PC, material positioning, bar code scan and automatic identification, etc. After that, the hardware/ software structure function module database model design are achieved. And the system security strategy is discussed subsequently. Eventually, the military material management system is developed on the development platform of Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0. After a period of probation, the expected effect is met, and the MMA mode of Palm OS handset integrating background database on PC is also proved to be reasonable and feasible, which supply us a new method in MMA.
