Remote fault diagnosis technology is the integration of network technology, computer technology, signal analysis and fault diagnosis technology, which is the result of development of science and technology. Making full use of this technology can process online sampling data, diagnose in network eliminate malfunction and realize experts' consultation and so on. So it is very significant to the development of machinery and national economy.The rapid development of computer and network technology has made it possible the remote fault diagnosis based on Internet. Especially, appearance of Java, as a network programming language, provides the advantage for the development of the remote fault diagnosis system and shortens the development period of the system. So, it is an optimum choice to band together Java technology and remote fault diagnosis technology.At first, this dissertation introduces mechanism and fault diagnosis of rotary machinery. After discussing the scheme of adaptive resonance theory nerve network, the model based on fuzzy nerve network and expert system is put forward and applied on remote fault diagnosis.This dissertation emphasizes on constructing a framework of a realizable internet-based mechanical fault diagnosis system, including plant-level diagnosis node, network diagnosis resource and remote diagnosis center. According to practical remote fault diagnosis, the model of Browser/Server (B/S) is chosen at last by analyzing the advantages as well as disadvantages of fault diagnosis based on Client/Server (C/S) and fault diagnosis based on Browser/Server. Finally, network communication protocol (TCP/IP) is described.Contrasting Microsoft .NET and J2EE's structures and their advantage as well as disadvantage, this system choices J2EE as the developing platform, JBuilderX and Dreamweaver MX as the developing tools. The running environment including Web server, application server and database server is discussed. Windows 2000 Server+Apache+JBoss+MS SQL Server 2000 is chosen as the running environment of this system.The key technologies and their applications are introduced in detail such as JSP, Servlet, EJB, connection about database, dealing with Chinese character, network security and so on. Emphasis is focused on how to connect with database and network security.How to develop the application programs such as JSP, Servlet, EJB by taking advantage of MVC and how to deploy the system are introduced. Emphasis is located at remote data collection and remote signal analysis. Remote data collection includes off-line data uploading and real-timedata collection based on Socket. Some analysis means used frequently are realized.After discussing the scheme of remote diagnosis based on Internet, the Remote Diagnosis System (RDS) is constructed. By testing in LAN, the result showes that it is in good condition.
