As a telecommunication protocol, Bluetooth wireless technology ensures communication compatibility worldwide. It provides an open-standard of wireless interface and control software with a low-cost, low-power consumption solution. Because of the process of developing Bluetooth is very complicated, an easy solution based on Host Controller Interface (HCI) is put forward and two schemes are introduced to improve the performance of Bluetooth system. This thesis first researches the developing solution based on HCI of Bluetooth. HCI protocol is introduced at length. A detailed analysis on the design of HCI hardware and software is given. Then this thesis describe how to achieve some Bluetooth function using nRF2401 USB100 and MCU. The process of initializing Bluetooth equipment, inquiring and requesting create a connection to other Bluetooth equipments, data transmission and disconnection is analyzed in detail. At last author gave a software flow chart. Finally this paper proposes an adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) scheme to improve the performance of Bluetooth system. It respectively explains the operating theory of the scheme . The performance of system is simulated and evaluated after adopting the improved schemes .The simulation results prove that the proposed schemes greatly improve the performance of system.
