Epirb, Code Reader Digital Demodulation Technique

EPIRB(Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacons) must be equipped in GMDSS. In the paper, study and implement a EPIRB's decoder who used to test and maintend the EPIRBs. Based on the technology of IF software radio, Analysis the EPIRB and design a prototype who used to decode the EPIRB.In the paper, a scheme is provided and is realized in DSP. A new differential decoder is studied and we investigated the effect of some factors on performance of the algorithm.Study the method of decoding the BCH and adopt the iterative algorithm whose effection is higher.Finally, a digital medial frequency receiver was implemented to prove the feasibility of the conception and show good performance in practice.
