With rapid development of information technology and computer network, the storage, copy and spread of digital media information become more and more convenient, which leads up to illegal copy, vicious juggle, spread again and embezzlement. So, information safety and copyright of the digital products have become practical problems that people need badly to solve, and have caused the extensive concern and research.Because of the outstanding contributions of the remote sensing technology in each field, the copyright protection of its digital product has brought people's attention gradually. The paper studies the image digital watermark for the copyright protection and security problem of the remote sensing image, mainly embed watermark information of indicate copyright in the two-dimension colorized remote sensing image without image degradation, prevent illegal copy, embezzlement of the remote sensing image , and analysis robustness of embedded remote sensing image.The paper mainly discusses from several following respects:1) Introduce the development of the digital watermark and the domestic and international study situation at present, and study the basic conceptions classification, typical algorithm, attack analysis of the digital watermark.2) Study basic theories of wavelet, provide a kind of typical digital watermark algorithm based on discrete wavelet transformation, and embed watermark information in the remote sensing image using the algorithm, then analyze the experimental results from two respects such as imperceptibility and robustness. And the results show that the watermark has excellent imperceptibility, and the embedded watermark is robust against various signal processing and compression attacks, but the effect against geometry attacks is not satisfactory.3) Discuss basic theories of fractal image coding, give a kind of proved digital watermark arithmetic, which based on fractal image coding involving introduce Arnold shuffling, and increase robustness of the watermark. The experimental results indicate that the robustness of the arithmetic increase a lot, and can detect watermark without original image and watermark image, the method is blind.4) Combining the main application of the remote sensing image, analysis the result of images' important application before and after the digital watermark is embedded.
