With the rapid development of the multimedia technology,the applicationof the multimedia information becomes more and more widespread. How to protectthe multimedia information s security has become a hot topic, the digitalwatermark technology came into being. The digital watermarking technology isa great potential of digital copyright protection, the basic idea is that thecopyright information as a watermark signal, as images, text, video and audiodigital works, and can be required to extract the watermark by some technicalmeans of detection, the prosecution of illegal infringement of evidence as theidentification of the digital work is copyrighted and tracking. Practice hasproved that the digital watermarking technology is an effective digital contentprotection technology, has become the one of the hottest topic in the field ofinformation security.This article summarizes the basis of previous studies on the digital imageas watermark information carrier, is based on discrete cosine transform(DCT).First, the watermark embedding algorithm based on DCT algorithm. The biggestadvantage of this algorithm is to meet the current JPEG images and videocompression standard, and has a good anti-compression capacity. Secondly, thealgorithm embedded position is embedded into the medium section, mainly becauseof easy to be damaged by a variety of signal processing method, the human visualis very sensitive to the low frequency component, the low frequencycomponentof the change is easy to be detected.In addition, in order to enhance the watermark information s security andimperceptibility, the paper use the Arnold scrambling transformation to encryptthe watermark image. Secondly, digital watermark algorithm is applied tocopyright protection, also can use the position of the carrier image tamperingdetection and localization, more comprehensive improvement of digitalwatermarking applications. By simulation experiments on the carrier imageattacks such as JPEG compression, noise, cut, modify the algorithm to verifythe robustness and imperceptibility. At last,with the C++Builder softwaredevelopment platform designed a digital image watermark protection system.
