Grid Computing is developing rapidly with the technique of Internet. At the beginning it wasa new computing mode aimed at complex scientific computing with the purpose of combining thewhole computer network into a huge supercomputer. With the advances of grid computing and thespreading of grid application, grid has grown from high-performance-oriented computational grid toservice-oriented commercial grid. Some one predicts that grid technology and its application will bethe next generation Internet information technology. Grid will be the information processinfrastructure of human society in the 21 Century which has the features of high-performanceprocess,huge data storage and massive instrument facilities.There are many resources in the Internet, such as computing resources,data resources,software resources,all kinds of digital facilities and control systems. It is the essentials of gridcomputing technology that how to gather these resources which physically connect each other andprovide uniform services.Similarly, peer to peer computing changes the point-to-point communication from theclient/server architecture to the interconnection of peers. It aims to make fully use of each peer'sresources to provide higher performance. Without the server role in client/server architecture, thefailure due to one server's fault has been greatly reduced, so it is more reliable than the traditionalclient/server architecture. Because of these, peer to peer computing has its strong technicalsuperiority in application areas like file sharing, distributed computing, network security, onlinecommunication, and even enterprise computing or electronic commerce. With the developing ofpeer to peer computing, it not only needs to make itself more perfect but also need to integrate withother technologies.As information infrastructure, grid must utilize all kinds of technologies to build itself andapplications. These technologies include middleware technology, p2p technology and web serviceetc.This thesis has researched in the fields that p2p technology is used in the grid computing.Apply the thoughts and the searching technology of p2p to the grid resource management system.After having deeply analyzed the defect of existing resource-find-mechanism, we introduce a newsearching framework based on p2p network. At last we design and implement a model of gridcomputing based on p2p technology.
