Since 1930s radar was invented, it has been used in many fields, especially in military detect, capture and track targets. Waveform generation plays an important roles in radar. With the development of micro-electronics and modern digital circuits, now Waveform Synthesis has developed from traditional analog to digital method. Waveform synthesized by digital method has advantages in programming, stability, coherent, repetition and variable parameters, so it has a main method in radar waveform synthesis. Traditional radar signal source usually fixes several sets of parameters according to system demand; exterior selects multi-waveform and different parameters. Software based on PC controls signal source, select multi-waveform and different parameters guiltily. The primary work in this dissertation: (1) Discuss the theory of DDS and project implement (2) Based on PCI and DDS ASIC----AD9858, finish plan of the project, hardware design and debugging of wide signal source of radar. The system can produce Single, LFM, PSK, FSK (3) Finish the driver program of PCI based on Windows (4) Design a set of control software with full function and can control signal source in real time, using C++ Builder6.0 (5) Debug the whole system including the application program, driver program and hardware; test the result of the system.
