OFDM is getting more and more attention because of its high spectral efficiency and robustness to narrow band interference ,which is probably becoming the key technology of next generation Mobile Communication System(BEYOND 3G).This paper mainly introduces the synchronization in OFDM system, and finally introduces MIMO technique. Besides, this paper points to OFDM and MIMO's advantage. In the chapter 1, this paper traces the history of mobile communication development and explains the core technology in the 3rd mobile communication. At last we can draw a conclusion that synchronization can't be neglected. Because of the advantage in OFDM and MIMO system, synchronization technique will be promising .Chapter 2 simply introduces the basic theory of OFDM and MIMO and points to disadvantage of OFDM technique. At last, we bring up some solution considering these disadvantages. Chapter 3 mainly gives the evaluation and research of time synchronization and frequency synchronization .This chapter systematically evaluates the influence of frequency offset. Then this chapter explain the content of time synchronization and frequency synchronization .Through the analyses, we can understand the importance of synchronization technique. In the next 2 chapter, this paper firstly introduces the OFDM synchronization's classic methods; secondly the author carries out some simulation concerning these methods. Finally, chapter 5 gives two new methods for frequency synchronization. These new ways include many strong points of classic method, which is proved in the simulation. Synchronization technology in MIMO OFDM system is researched in chapter 6. Because MIMO channel is very complicated, so we give some supposed condition. Based on the condition, we can get some valuable conclusion. The method we use is developed concerning the SISO system. After introduction, this paper gives the...
