With the high-speed development of information and computer technology, DSP has got its rapid development in just a few years from its first appearance in 80th. It has been widely used in communication, industry control, internet etc. for the feature of its special function of high speed processing to digital signals, celerity, low power, high integration and so on. So, if we can apply DSP technology in the design of data acquisition system, the speed of data acquisition and the function of data analysis will be improved largely.The paper mainly discusses the data acquisition system based on general DSP, which can be applied in rotating machinery condition monitoring system. This system adopts the technology of DSP & PCI bus interface, which improves the speed of data acquisition and strengthens the function of data analysis. At the same time, it also has low cost, high performance and fit together etc.Firstly, this paper introduces the importance and necessary of rotating machinery condition monitoring system applied in industry production, and its development at home and abroad. Then it presents briefly the structure of DM7006 system, the raise of this project and the characteristic parameters of rotating machinery. The main contents of the paper include system analysis, R&D of software and hardware.In the hardware design of data acquisition system, high-speed and simultaneous A/D converter, DSP, CPLD, PCI bus interface chip, dual-port static ram and other chips are used, which makes high speed data acquisition, data upload realize and allows muti-channel to be sampled simultaneously. In the part of software, the following will be introduced pointedly, the design of DSP program; the development of PCI bus interface's WDM driver program under windows OS; the data transfer between CIN and data acquisition card in the condition of Lab VIEW.At the end of the paper, conclusions and evaluations are given about this system. The development of online condition monitor system in the future is also suggested.
