Mobile communication technology is an important technology in modern information age. With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, which is going to enter the third developing stage, there is a problem about how to improve the quality of network overlay. The repeater is required for amplification and enhancement of the signal. Compared with a base station, a repeater has advantage of lower cost, shorter constructing time and higher overlay quality. In order to ensure that repeater works in high reliability and stability environment, it's essential to monitor the real-time state of the repeater.The control system of the repeater is composed of local monitoring unit, communication channel and remote network monitoring centre. The embedded repeater monitoring system, which is designed in my thesis, extract design excellence of ordinary system, put forward new concept, import embedded control system, simplify the structure of system, optimize the function of system. Remote network management monitoring centre is divided into forward monitoring machine and backward monitoring computer, which improve reliability, real time, and flexibility of system. The system solution has reached the level of uniform network management, and has some capability of synthetical network management.In my design, the repeater equipment is provided by Nanjing United Microwave Ltd. We have finished united debugging between the control system and PA (power amplifier) which is kernel equipment in repeater, and reach the anticipated function. In conclusion, concrete content of my thesis is:1. Researched domestic and oversea development of the repeater monitoring system, designed the solution of embedded repeater monitoring system based on practical situation.2. Implemented local monitoring unit of repeater. The unit is based on embedded ADuC812 SOC chip, may monitor and control the multiplex parameters of device. It has multiple functions such as LCD graphics module display, key switching, alarming at abnormal intervals, remote communication, and intelligent control. The unit, which has high performance, low power, friendly interface, is a character in this thesis.3. Implemented forward monitoring machine of remote monitoring centre. The machine is based on embedded ARM processor hardware platform, and run on uC/OS-II RTOS (real time operation system) platform, has ability of real time control under the situation of communication network congestion. What's more, embedded machine is acted as data backup machine of computer, and works independently. It also can be used to system debugging and local check acted as mobile machine. The design of the embedded forward machine is a notable character in this thesis.4. Proceeded on united debugging between local monitoring unit and remote forward monitoring machine which is based on GSM SMS (Short Message Service) platform, implemented data communication among repeater equipment, local monitoring unit, forward machine of remote monitoring centre and backward computer, constructed the integrited comparatively embedded repeater monitoring system.
