Research And Implementation On Remote Monitor Based On Java Embedded Development Platform

With the plentiful application of embedded system in various fields such as data communication and automatic control etc., the following is the innovation of its development environment. It is necessary for the embedded system development to introduce embedded system integrated development environment. In the course of embedded software development, developers need to monitor the state of target machine anytime. Thence it is essential for embedded development platform to provide an utility to monitor the state of target machine.This paper analyzes embedded integrated development environment, deeply studies the Java based embedded integrated development platform, and interprets the importance and necessity of providing remote monitor in Java based embedded development platform. After studying proc file system which is the source of target machine state, Eclipse architecture based on plug-in, Eclipse programming based on plug-in, and socket client/server network programming, this paper proposes the solution to remote monitor of Java based embedded development platform.This paper designs and implements a target machine state monitor based Java embedded development platform which is named aBrowser, and introduces particularly its internal structure and characteristic from various aspects. We also evaluate aBrowser on functionality, usability and real-time. The result shows that aBrowser has better practicability, and it can provide the timely state of target machine to developer so that they can improve efficiency.Finally, we make a conclusion and look forward to the future.
