| Human computer interface study becomes more and more important with the development of computer and multimedia technology. In this area, the interactive whiteboard is a crucial type. An interactive whiteboard is mainly composed of three equipments: a computer, a large screen display and a touch-sensitive screen. With the support of special software, this combination of technologies turns the interactive whiteboard into a very large computer screen, and provides a more interactive environment. With a pointer, or even a finger, one can write, draw on the board or control the computer. An interactive whiteboard can be integrated with data and video conferencing systems for real-time interaction. Both the video and data are transmitted over a computer network and displaced on the same screen. One can control the video and data together from the interactive whiteboard's touch-sensitive surface and annotate over the document using the special pointer, etc.But most interactive whiteboards have expensive set-up costs and the technology is complicated. According to this, a new idea is presented that the low cost CCD devices are used to locate and trace the special spot target in the large screen display. The spot's two-dimensional position on the light sensitive layer of CCD can be gained and the function logic message is transmitted by the wireless data transfer units. With these messages, the software drives computer to implement certain functions. In this paper, the system principles and the process of overall system design, mainly about hardware design, are completely introduced. The process of pointer design and the design of integrate sensor system for two-dimension position based on two-dimensional CCD are discussed in details. The whole system has been constructed. In addition, the factors which have effect on the pointing precision are especially analyzed. Moreover, the design of integrate sensor system for two-dimension position based linear CCD is presented. At the end of this paper, the whole work is summarized and the trend of the development of the whole system is discussed briefly. |
