Design And Implementation Of A Fault Diagnosis Expert System

This paper described a method, how to utilize artificial intelligence, especial expert system, to detect fault in one weapon system. An integrated expert system was designed, which combined fault diagnosis, multimedia teaching and dynamic management.It composed fault diagnosis software, equipment management software and teaching & training software. The fault diagnosis software was mainly discussed. After analyzed the weapon system fault reasons and features, the paper explained the service target and overall skeleton structure, and studied the expression the core knowledge of the expert system, the combination of the knowledge data, the composition of management & fault diagnosis inference devices. The dynamic manage software was developed to manage the lots of accessories and corollary equipment which belong the weapon system, besides registering in every kinds report, searching and printing the results. The theory and using of special tools for detection and repairing, ordinary maintenance, which were easily mastered by soldiers, were introduced in this teaching and training software.
