With the rapid development of the embedded system and networked instruments having become the new technical trend, The characteristic of the embedded system is mini-type,special used, portable, high reliable so it is widely applied in this fields, for example, long-distance monitoring, remote data acquisition and controll, etc. With the function of the task that the embedded system works on growing, the traditional 8-bit MCU can't content the request of the application。And System procedure are more and more complicate, thus the reliability and stability of system is difficult to be guaranteed with the traditional approach to program。It is the effective way of solving this problem to use the embedded operating system as the software platform。In this design , ARM microprocessor is selected in the hardware platform。ARM processor is a kind of advanced 32-bit embedded RISC microprocessor accredited in this field。The real-time operating system μC/OS-II is adopted in the software platform。Operating Systems can simplify the design by dividing the application into some tasks. μC/OS-II is a kind of Multi-tasks, real-time and operation system which is especially designed for the microprocessor. It has many advantages, for example: its kernel source code is open, it is easy to learn, and it can easily transplanted.。In this paper, the main content is the develop process of the embedded general communication platform based on the 32-bit ARM microprocessor—LPC2210 and embedded real-time operation system μC/OS-II. And also we expatiate this platform 's realization technology and the technology's corresponding problems. And realization of the long-distance mornitor system based on Ethernet will be analyzed. This paper is composed with four parts thereinafter: Firstly, we summarize networked measurement,networked instruments,the embedded system. Then some common design methods of the embedded system are introduced and give out the corresponding flowchart. Secondly, In here , the function , construction and principle of units builded system will be explained in detail .
