With the rapid development of large-scale network (such as the Internet), the routing technology has gradually become a key part of network technology. And the Router has also become one of the essential networking equipments composing the network. In today's information society, the router has been widely applied to various industries. Therefore, in order to fit various needs of different users, it is imperative to develop the simple and practical routers with various applications. As we all know, TCP / IP is the basic Internet protocol. And the HTTP protocol which is used widely by the World Wide Web is one of the application protocols based on the TCP / IP protocol. The HTTP protocol (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is a transmission protocol which is used to transfer the Hypertext between the WWW server and the local browser. The HTTP protocol based on the Request / Response model, with its simple, fast, flexible and efficient features, is applied to distributed and cooperative hypermedia information systems, and support the development of various applications.Comprehensive study of the characteristics of the VLRT Routers and the specific demands of customers, I mainly completed the development of the HTTP protocol and developed a group of simple and practical functions embedded in the VLRT Router so as to satisfy various needs of different customers.(1) Web Configuration (Comparing to the command line, a more friendly and simple way of router configuration).(2) HTTP Proxy (Simulation of the client and server, transmitting HTTP Request/Response packets and HTTP resources). (3) Auth Proxy (An application-level firewall embedded in the router).(4) HTTPs (Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol based on SSL).
