At present we have stepped into the fourth phase of the computer development:the network era. Once banding together with enterprise, the network coruscatesextraordinary splendour. It can be said that the development of inner network goesshoulder by shoulder with the development of enterprise. However, how to protect theconfidentiality and integrality of the data from the inner network of enterprise andprevent illegal copy and transmission, and how to make the leaders know theefficiency of the work and the working status of the terminal users while the innernetwork is at work, and then make proper evaluation to the workers to improve theworking efficiency of the whole enterprise, all of which foreshows the naissance andpopularization of the inner network monitor system.Inner network monitor system brings the software and hardware resources of theentire inner network into effective and perfect security management and control. Thissystem follows a way of active security management and monitor, and limits the innernetwork's hidden trouble in security in a technic way. It can monitor and record thebehavior of every terminal user, and can effectively prevent illegal manipulation andgive an alarm in time, and make the hidden trouble of the network viewable.Accordingly, it heavily enhances the security of the inner network in use, and ensuresthat every network user legally makes use of the inner network and applies datainformation from the inner network in his own privilege range.The topic of the thesis discussed the design and implement of the Intranetmonitoring system which is supported by National 863 Project.The system iscomposed of control center, audit center and clients.
