With the increasing depending on more information, people would not be satisfied with just voice talking on the phone. So, for the telecommunication service providers, the traditional public phone service is in desperate situation due to their monotony function. The various extend services are needed which could provide more instant and colorful information. This demand calls for the telecommunication providers to develop multimedia, all-in-one products with voice, picture and data. The scheme of a kind of co-location hosting mode based public information system is proposed in this thesis. The real running system can be examined by computer program in the simulation environment. The feasibility of the scheme is provided and the corresponding operation and cooperation modes are discussed in this thesis. The contents are mainly as follows:· Based on TCP/IP protocols, the total scheme of the system implementation is analyzed.· The structure and the function of each subsystem are elaborated, such as the communication process between the multimedia information system terminal and its center, the communication controls, etc.· The co-location hosting mode is suggested after comparison and analysis between two network implementation modes.· The communication program on co-location hosting is designed, which simulates the system operation in the real environment. The recorded performance results are analyzed, which proves the feasibility of the scheme.· The benefit evaluation on the data from the testing terminal is carried out.· A commercial cooperation mode is proposed centering on the value-added service operators.· Summary and problems are given at end of the thesis.
