Modulation Domain Analyzer (MDA) is production of this technology. It researches deeply the dynamic characters of frequency or time interval and offers a convenient and intuitionistic way for complex signal analysis. Our research group had made a practical sample of analyzer, MDA-1. Now more research and development for Modulation Domain Pulse Analyzer (MDPA-1) which is higher capability than MDA-1 are going on. The aim of this article is to design software for MDPA-1. At first in this article the concept and application of Modulation domain analysis are introduced. Then the measuring theories, measuring models and key technology of MDPA-1 are expound.After analyzing instrumental errors and data processing for MDPA-1, the emphases of the article are introduced which are functional design for three parts of the software and program by Visual C++ 6.0. Then some examples are used to demonstrate function of the software.
