Along with the improvement of intelligent home electric appliances manufacturing, the scale of this industry is extending continuously. The quality of intelligent home electric appliance productions is the most important fact for the competition. Controller is the most crucial component of intelligent home electric appliance productions. Therefore we must affirm the validity of logistic functions of new controllers before we put them into products. At present, the test to the validity of intelligent home electric appliance productions controllers'function logic is still in handwork-test stage in our country. And the automatic test to them is still in blank state. To alter this state, this dissertation has studied most test system models existed. After comparison among them, the author puts forward Home Electric Appliance Controller Assistant Test system (abbreviated form of name HEACAT system), which is based on Virtual Instruments technology, adopting script test model and manual test model and taking script test technology and component technology for its core. The HEACAT system is an automatic test system based on PC. It inputs test command by PC and tures it into control command after processed by HEACAT software system. Control command drives controllers by signal gathering board which gathers controller's control information to peripheral equipments at the same time. After the process of HEACAT software system, the state information of the controller is displayed and analyzed by PC finally. HEACAT software system is the core. This dissertation starts with Virtual Instruments'system structure and technology features and demonstrates the advantages of adopting Virtual Instruments technology in HEACAT system. HEACAT software system adopts tiers system structure and adopts key technologies such as script test etc. At the end of this dissertation, the author has introduced HEACAT software system's realization in air conditioner controller test.
