With the rapid development of the computer network technology and the electronic technology, the world is stepping into post-PC era, during which people gradually know and accept a new concept, embedded system. Unconsciously, many kinds of embedded digital products have become the main tools of processing information after PC. At the same time, the life of people is closely linked with Internet so that it is natural for the embedded system to connect to Internet. Unconsciously, many kinds of embedded digital products have become the main tools of processing information after PC. At the same time, the life of people is closely linked with Internet so that it is natural for the embedded system to connect to Internet. In order to connect into Internet, the embedded system could use TCP/IP protocol that is the factual standard of network interconnection. However, the complete TCP/IP protocol requires much more powerful CPU and memories while most of the embedded systems can only provide 8 to 16-bit CPU with very limited computing ability and little memories, it is impossible to embed TCP/IP protocol to embedded system. This article introduces Service Unit Based Network Architecture (SUBNA), a new solution for network communication, based on which the author designs an Embedded Micro-Communication System for the application of Embedded System in the internet. The Embedded Micro-Communication System can easily provide several excerllent features such as independency between application and communication protocol, low hardware requirement, configurable, easy to migrate, simple IO interface …etc. This article is oganized to move gradually from the idea of SUBNA, the architecture of Micro-Communication System to the educement of Embedded Micro-Communication System. In doing so, the author describes in detail the design and programming of Connection and Connectionless Service in Embedded Micro-Communication Element System in the terminal. Particular emphasis is placed on the design of several important modules in the Connection and Connectionless Service in Embedded Micro-Communication System in this article, including Connectionless in Embedded Micro-Communication System, Format of Connection Package, Communication model based on SUBNA, analysis of general Service Unit…etc. At last, the author sumerized the fruition of this article and...
