The ultimate goal of grid is to build an information processing infrastructure on the base of the rapidly improving information transporting infrastructure, by connecting enormous computers, instruments, databases and people in the world together and make them be an organic macrocosm, providing nontrivial quality of services , Traditionally people hope a grid can accumulate computing power of many supercomputers, to form an unprecedented virtual supercomputer, but in fact few grid platforms for this goal are practical and in operation so far. In this paper we advocate computing pool which shares distributed supercomputers but does not decompose applications.Analysis proves that it is a practicable computing platform, which can greatly improve quality of service and utilization of resources. This paper first introduces the general scheme of our grid platform, which include hardware and software design of the system. The follow chapter brings forth the Parallel Computation Environment .Parallel Computation Environment is the basement of the grid compute. Our Parallel Computation Environment has a supercomputer Lenovo HPC 1800 and a PC cluster. There is a description about the configuration and the management of them in this chapter. Further analysis will show the MPI, Parallel Multi-Level Fast Multiple Algorithm and the Portable Batch System .Both MPI and Portable Batch System are always the important component of the grid compute, but for they are only used for special domain, there is the more emphasize particularly on computing speed and efficiency than on the opening of the system, the application which based on them such as computing pool also is very few. This paper describes some key technologies used in the Computing Pool system, such as the special configuration for realization of the MPI and how to use the Portable Batch System IFL to realize the interface of the Computing Pool system. The last chapter is about the Web server, which also is the important component of the grid system, and provides connections between the grid system and the users.
