Millimeter wave technology is one of the hot points of electromagnetic field engineering. Under the development of millimeter wave theories and technology, the applied field is promoted and expended, which not only resolves the spectrum source problems bewildering people, but also expands the higher spectrum source. It provides the theories and technology for us. This thesis describes the properties of millimeter wave, and development of the millimeter wave sources nowadays, and introduces two solid-state devices which are Gunn and IMPATT diodes. It analyses three kinds of ways to get the pulsed source in W band: those are technologies of free oscillating W band pulsed source, injection locked W band pulsed source, and continuous wave chopped W band pulsed source. And the merits and disadvantages of all those technologies will be analyzed with practical circuits. With the three ways discussed above, three systems free oscillating W band pulsed millimeter front, injection locked W band pulsed transmitter, and continuous wave chopped W band pulsed injection locked amplifier are developed in order to under different conditions with varied systems.
