Image collection card, which plays an increasing important role in signal and communication system, has been applied in many different fields and become more and more popular. PCI, a kind of widely used bus lines of computer, is able to provide high date transporting speed. An application system has been designed by using the professional PCI interface CMOS chip to resolve the problems of how to improve the collecting speed of high resolution images. This system can be used as an image collection card with excellent capabilities. The dissertation mainly contains five parts. At the beginning, the data collection theory and the high-speed collection chip AD9884A are introduced. And then, the PCI protocol and the professional PCI interface chip CY7C09449PV are indicated. After this, the completion of the collection card hardware is demonstrated, including the controlling timing in SDRAM, the function segmentations in FPGA chip EP1C6 and the run_length coding completion in EP1C6. Following that, the collection card driver is developed in Windows 2000. Finally, the development of this application programme is represented.
