Pocket Pc Prototype Hardware System Development

At present, post-PC age, when the digital information technology and network technology is developed at a high speed, H/PC, which is portable electronic device, have realized the portable mobile computer function. During the following several years, H/PC will gradually be used in many specific professional field, and tend to be more specialized. Specialized application will be a main demand field of H/PC. However, today's H/PC on the market is mainly for personal users, the expansibility is not high, so can't be used to get very good application in the specialized application occasion.A H/PC prototype is designed after analyzing the requirements of H/PC's universal and professional application and adopting a series of steps: detailed process devise, module assignment, hardware system design, prototype manufacture and debugging, etc. This prototype has combined general function requirement. Based on productive design process, it particularly has the flexibility of extending hardware when it is used in the field of professional application. It provides a plenty of external interface. Hardware can be extended on it. Furthermore, this productive design economizes time for redevelopment of professional application in the future.This paper summarizes a series of work in process of developing hardware system of H/PC based on S3C2410X microprocessor.
