With the rapid development of industrial automation, a new simulation technology is now emerging as the times require. It becomes a hotspot in the high-tech simulation field to develop visual support systems.This paper aims to build a general simulation tool platform of object-oriented continuous systems. The following functions have been realized. (1) Based on the successful experiences of advanced graphical modeling environment, a simulation tool platform of object-oriented continuous systems is explored and constructed, and the basic functions are also achieved as they should be. (2) It puts forward a modified Sequential Modular Approach simulation program by analyzing and comparing. (3) On the basis of the object-oriented and visual programming technique, it gives the software system a concrete actualization plan to implement each function of system platform. (4) It discusses the functions, characteristic and implement methods of each main component of system simulation platform in detail.The system platform can run on the Windows operating system. Not only can it implement graphical modeling, but also it can automatically make the simulation program, and can carry on the model debugging and result analysis of the program.By means of adopting advanced object-oriented visual programming technique, the system platform has a friendly user interface as well as integrated functions and high open quality. It has been validated and verified in practice by many actual application examples, and as a rule of thumb, meets the requirement of the original specifications.
